Baotu Spring, also called Pu Liu, Kan Quan, and Li Yuan. It is the origin of the Li River, located in the Ji Nan City, ShanDong Province. The JiNan city is called “the City of Springs”. There are seventy-two famous springs in JiNan, and the BaoTu Spring is the top of them. It is also considered as the top of all the springs in China by the Emperor QianLong. The Emperor QianLong had traveled to the South China for several times. He entitled the BaoTu Spring as the “No. 1 Spring in China” despite another “No. 1 Spring” the Yu Quan in Beijing was entitled by himself earlier.

The BaoTu Spring comes from the underground cave. There are three major streams of the spring, the average volume is 1600 liters per second. The water is fresh, clean and cold, very good for the tea making.

The BaoTu spring is also the home for the famous poets Li QingZhao (1084-1151 AD) in the Song Dynasty.
