The Five Dynasties

Tea cup with tray was firstly invented in the Jin Dynasty. Since the Tang Dynasty, it had been a popular design of tea equipment. It was produced in many places such as the Yue Kiln in South China, or the Yaozhou Kiln in North China. This piece of tea cup and tray was made in the Yaozhou Kiln in Tongchuan, Shanxi province.

In the Five Dynasties, the Yaozhou Kiln was specialized in the production of celadon porcelain. The design was exquisite and color was pure and clean. Yaozhou Kiln was high appreciated by many people. This cup was a typical product of the Yaozhou Kiln.
