This is a
porcelain box shaped like a shallow bowl. The box has a flat
bottom. The lid covers firmly on the bore. It was designed
for the container of the tea powder, so that the moisture
could be prevented.
The small tea boxes were usually used with big tea jars.
They are both tea powder containers. The tea jar held more
powder and was sealed for a long time, with only a little
amount of tea powder in the tea box for the daily use.
