Liang Ban Tea and Zhu Tea of Ji Nuo People

The Ji Nuo people live in XiShuangBanNa area in Yunnan Province. They have thousands of years history to make Liang Ban Tea (cold tea dressed in flavor) and Zhu Tea (stewed tea).

It is very simple to make Liang Ban tea: put fresh tea leaves in a clean bowl, knead to break the leave, put Huangguo leave (a type of local fruit tree) and chili, add some salt. At last, they put a little spring water and wait for 15 minutes before serve.

Another tea tradition is to make stewed tea. Ji Nuo people use some pre-processed tea to stew. When the water is boiling, it is ready to drink. Like many other ethnic groups in Yun Nan, the Ji Nuo people use bamboo to make their tea containers.
