Milk Tea of Kazakhs people

Kazakh is one of the minority groups of P.R. China. They live to the north of TianShan Mountain in XinJiang. Like many other ethnic groups, tea is as important as meal for Kazakh people. Milk tea is their typical daily drink.

Kazakh people use brass pot to prepare their tea. They put water and tea together inside the pot, pour in some milk after boil, and then add salt as flavor. Some family use walnut and sugar instead of salt. The milk tea will be consumed with their meal, usually with toasted mutton, naan (a kind of bread of pita), cream, honey and apple together.

The milk tea might be a little too strong and bitter for other people. However, for the local people, it is important for their good health and appetite.
