LaHu people live in CangYuan, GengMa, MengHai and LanCang areas in YunNan Province. They are also known as the "tiger hunters". The tea tradition of LaHu people is to make baked tea.

At first, the drinkers put an empty pot on the fire; make sure it is hot enough. Then put some tea leaves inside and continue to bake until the leaves become yellow and release a burning smell. Next they add hot water in the pot, get rid of the bubbles, add some more water until it is full, and wait for three minutes.

Now the tea is ready for drink. The LaHu people like strong and hot tea. Therefore they always enjoy the tea when it is still hot.
